Use this page when you are not sure what kind of TikTok post you have. It is the general starting point; the format-specific pages below go deeper on videos, photo slideshows, and multi-item posts.
What this tiktok tool handles
- Public TikTok video posts, delivered as the file TikTok serves
- Photo posts and multi-photo slideshows, split into separate images
- Share links copied from the TikTok app (vm.tiktok.com and tiktok.com/@user/video/...)
- Results shown in the same order as the original post
How to use it
- Open the post in TikTok and tap Share, then Copy link.
- Paste the link into the field above and press Download.
- Wait while ClipFern finds the media. Files appear as soon as each one is ready.
- Use the download button under each preview to save the item you want.
Questions
Do I need a TikTok account?
No. ClipFern does not ask you to sign in to TikTok or to create a ClipFern account. Only public posts can be retrieved.
What is the difference between this page and the TikTok Post Downloader?
This page is the general entry point. The Post Downloader page explains how ClipFern handles posts that contain several items, such as slideshows, and how to save each item individually.
Are videos re-encoded?
No conversion is applied. You receive the file as it is delivered by the platform, so quality depends on what TikTok makes available for that post.
Troubleshooting
- The post is private or deleted
- ClipFern cannot access private, friends-only, or removed posts. Check that the post opens in a logged-out browser.
- Nothing happens after pasting
- Make sure you copied the full share link, including https://. Short links from the app work too.
- The download link stopped working
- Temporary links expire after 15 minutes. Paste the original TikTok URL again.
