How to Download Instagram Carousel Slides

A carousel can contain several photos, videos, or a mix of both. This guide explains how to retrieve the items ClipFern can access and save them separately.

Open the Instagram Carousel Downloader

Steps

  1. Copy the link to the public carousel post.
  2. Open ClipFern’s Instagram Carousel Downloader.
  3. Paste the post link and press Download.
  4. Review the separate previews and save the items you need.

Copy the post link

Open the public carousel in Instagram and use its share menu to copy the post link. A link to the creator profile is not a substitute for the link to one post.

Review the individual slides

Paste the link into ClipFern and wait for the results. Each item that can be retrieved appears separately, in the order reported by Instagram. Use the item previews to choose which files to save.

When a slide is missing

A private or removed post, a login prompt, or a temporary platform restriction can prevent retrieval. ClipFern cannot bypass those access controls. A video slide may also have a different preview or playback behavior than a photo.

Good to know

  • Only save or reuse content when you have the rights or permission to do so.
  • ClipFern does not re-encode media or guarantee that every slide is available.
  • Temporary download links expire after 15 minutes.
